Javanese Fried Noodle Recipe - Previously I have shared a tastiest chicken noodle recipe using spaghetti, and this time I will share a Javanese fried noodle recipe, known as bakmi jawa or mie goreng jawa.
Almost all Indonesian people love mie goreng jawa. It tastes sweet and sometimes also spicy, for spicy lovers.
Mie goreng jawa commonly found in Indonesia and Malaysia. The dish is made of yellow noodle, chicken, vegetables, egg and spices.
If you come to Indonesia, it's easy to find mie goreng jawa or bakmi jawa vendors. They are commonly found in all cities and towns in java island.

Javanese Fried Noodle or Bakmi Jawa Recipe
Ingredients and spices for Javanese fried noodles:
• 2 packs of noodles (use any noodles, I used instant noodles)
• 1 egg
• 4 pieces of mustard
• Cabbage to taste
• 1 spring scallion
• 2 sausages
• 1 bakso
• Soy sauce to taste
• Chili sauce to taste
• Brown sugar, combed to taste
• 2 pieces of cayenne pepper, sliced
• ¼ tsp pepper powder
• Adequate flavoring
• Water and oil to taste
Ground spices :
• 3 cloves of garlic
• 3 shallots
• 1 hazelnut
• 2 pieces of cayenne pepper / according to taste
• Salt to taste
Complementary :
• Fried onions for sprinkling
How to make Javanese fried noodles:
1. Puree all the ground spices.
2. Meatballs and sausages cut into small pieces.
3. Then heat the water, and boil the noodles until cooked. Don't take too long so it doesn't get soggy.
4. Remove the noodles and flush with cold water. Then set aside.
5. Heat the oil, then fry the ground spices until fragrant. Then set aside to the side of the pan.
6. Add 1 egg and scramble the eggs. Then mix it with the stir-fried ground spices that were set aside earlier.
7. Add sausage pieces and meatballs. Stir.
8. Add chopped scallions, celery and cayenne pepper. Stir.
9. Add chili sauce and sweet soy sauce to taste.
10. Add the noodles and stir until absorbed and evenly distributed.
11. Add the mustard and cabbage pieces, and the combed palm sugar.
12. Add stock powder to taste and ground pepper.
13. If the Javanese noodles are cooked and well mixed, take it out.
14. Serve noodles on a plate and sprinkle with fried onions. Special Javanese fried noodles are ready to be eaten with the family.
